CurioInvest and MERJ team up to tokenize classic cars

CurioInvest and MERJ Exchange will offer digital tokens backed by vintage cars luxury. The two companies plan in particular to tokenize a Ferrari F12tdf over a million dollars.

The Liechtenstein investment platform CurioInvest and MERJ Exchange, a stock exchange based in Seychelles, have the ambition to put more 500 collection vehicles, worth a total of $ 200 million, on the blockchain, reports Bloomberg.

Tokenized cars will be stored and maintained by a garage located in Stuttgart, Germany. Investors will not have the chance to drive cars backed by their tokens, however.

According to the two companies, the tokenization luxury assets makes this type of investment more accessible to more people.

For example, someone in Uganda will be able to invest in a rare car, symbolized by a company in Liechtenstein, and all of this fits into a recognized regulatory environment, "said Jim Needham, head of digital strategy at MERJ.

baptized CT1, the digital coin native to the project will thus be listed on the regulated Seychellois stock exchange MERJ Exchange.
