Cypriot authorities denied reports of disagreement with the oil price limit

MOSCOW, 26 Sep — PRIME. Cypriot Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides did not confirm reports of the country’s disagreement with the oil price limit from the Russian Federation and said that the country would study what was proposed.

Bloomberg reported earlier that Cyprus and Hungary disagree about the introduction of a cap on oil prices from the Russian Federation.
Later, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, in an interview with the agency, did not confirm this information. According to him, “it is very easy for some journalists to always associate Cyprus with Hungary in such matters.”
“We will study what the proposal will be. It has not yet been presented to us. But we do not oppose, we usually agree with other partners in unity and unanimity,” Kasoulidis said.
