“Daughter” of “Lukoil” will receive a subsoil plot with significant gas resources

MOSCOW, 4 Oct — PRIME. Lukoil’s subsidiary, Lukoil-West Siberia, won at an auction on Tuesday the right to use the Severo-Vareisky-1 subsoil block in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug with promising recoverable resources of more than 100 billion cubic meters of gas and a final payment of 44.805 million rubles, RIA Novosti was told in Rosnedra.

“Severo-Vareisky-1, the winner of Lukoil-Western Siberia LLC, the final payment is 44.805 million rubles,” the ministry said in a statement.

Lukoil competed at the auction with a subsidiary of Norilsk Nickel – Norilskgazprom and RNG Energo. The site area is 974.4 square kilometers. Promising (in category D1) recoverable resources of oil – 5 million tons, gas – 102.5 billion cubic meters, condensate – 9 million tons. Forecast (in category D2) resources are 9.9 million tons of oil, 43.9 billion cubic meters of gas and 6.7 million tons of condensate.

All three companies also applied for participation in auctions for the Severo-Vareisky-2 and Severo-Vareisky-3 blocks. Both sites will be used by Norilskgazprom, having paid 31.604 million and 22.810 million rubles for them, respectively, the Rosnedra also reported.

Severo-Vareisky-2 has resources in category D1 – 3 million tons of oil, 71.1 billion cubic meters of gas and 6 million tons of condensate. Category D2 – 7.3 million tons of oil, 32.2 billion cubic meters of gas and 5.3 million tons of condensate. Severo-Vareisky-3 contains resources for D1 – 4.1 million tons of oil, 51.4 billion cubic meters of gas and 5.6 million tons of condensate, for D2 – 3.9 million tons of oil, 22 billion tons of gas and 1, 8 million tons of condensate.
