Deliveries of coal and gas from Russia to China set a historical record
RUSSIA, Sep 21 – PRIME. Deliveries of coal and natural gas from Russia to China in August 2022 set a historical record, the Russian Embassy in China said on Wednesday.

“According to the General Administration of Customs (GCC) of the PRC, in August China imported natural gas from Russia for a total of 409.37 million US dollars. This figure is the highest since at least January 2017 – the maximum available observation period of Chinese customs,” – according to a message in the Telegram channel of the diplomatic mission.
It is noted that “the export of coal from Russia to China in August also reached a maximum for five years – 8.542 million tons, according to the GTU of the PRC, compared with July, supplies increased by 15%, and in annual terms, the growth is 57%.”
