That the next generation of graphics cards from AMD is on the doorstep is hardly a secret. Speculations about, among other things, name schemes and performance levels have hailed in recent months, and all indications are that an official revelation is not far off.
AMD was kind enough to give me an Hawaiian beauty from the Volcanic Islands http://t.co/CSU3Ssv8oi @AMDRadeon

A taste of what the newcomer looks like in the reference model comes from Frostbite developer Johan “repi” Andersson at Swedish DICE. On Twitter reveals he that the Stockholm office has gained access to an AMD-labeled “beauty from Hawaii”, which is easy to interpret as the next generation graphics card.
However, the image does not reveal much other than the existence of the graphics card. The angular radiator is at first glance reminiscent of the Radeon HD 6000 series, and the radial fan is adorned with a solitary sticker with the designation “AMD Radeon”.
The upcoming AMD Hawaii is manufactured according to previous information in 28 nanometers, and will challenge Nvidia’s Geforce GTX 700 series. When the graphics cards will be officially launched is still unknown, but there are many indications that GPU ’14 Tech Day on September 25 is the event to ring in the calendar.
