MOSCOW, August 31 – PRIME. The European Union expects that the IAEA mission will be able to normalize the situation at the Zaporozhye NPP, said EU diplomat Josep Borrell.

Foreign Ministry expects IAEA visit to help stop Kyiv’s provocations
“The IAEA mission is sent to the ZNPP, we support it, we are waiting for the results of this mission, we continue to insist on the complete demilitarization of this zone. We hope that the IAEA mission will be able to normalize the situation,” he said before the start of an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers in Prague.
Earlier Tuesday, it was reported that a group of 14 IAEA experts headed by the agency’s director general Rafael Grossi had arrived in Kyiv. According to Reuters on Wednesday morning, the mission moved towards the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. Grossi confirmed the information, adding that specialists would spend several days at the facility.
