“Everything is so bad”: the Poles began to heat their houses with garbage

MOSCOW, 6 Oct — PRIME. Residents of Poland are forced to use garbage for heating due to energy shortages and high prices. It is reported by Bloomberg.

Poland opposed Germany’s measures to reduce gas prices

The Poles initially used coal to heat residential buildings built during the Soviet era. However, now, against the backdrop of a worsening energy crisis, people are faced with the need to burn garbage. The agency notes that “such an energy source” not only leads to air pollution and smog, but also to the stench on the streets of cities.

“Now it’s so bad that you can smell burning garbage every day, which has never happened before,” Paulina Mrochkovskaya, a mother of three children from the city of Jablonny, told the agency correspondent.

Residents of Poland believe that the problem of air pollution in the country has worsened so much that the federal authorities are already considering distributing protective masks as the air temperature drops.
