EVGA presents the Geforce GTX 580 Classified with water cooling

Among overclockers and enthusiasts, large graphics card coolers are a constant scourge. Not only do they take up a lot of space inside the computer case, it also becomes difficult to combine several graphics cards in SLI or Crossfire because the coolers can block extra card slots and obstruct the air flow.

EVGA solves the problem with a new variant of Geforce GTX 580 Classified that is covered by a water block that does not take up any extra card space. To add a little extra spice to life, there is also a window that makes it possible to take a look inside the radiator and also an illuminated logo.

For those who do not want to use water, EVGA is also planning a variant with air cooling, albeit an extra large one. Extra lavish power supply is promised, including the NEC Proadlizer and two 8-pin connectors and another six-pin. In addition, LEDs are added that mark the load as well as contact surfaces for monitoring the voltage.

The graphics card also contains dual firmware circuits that make it possible to update to a new or experimental version without losing the old one. EVGA also promises to supply different versions of the software for various purposes. Some exact specifications are not yet known, other than that the company is planning graphics cards with both 1.5 and 3.0 GB GDDR5 memory.
