Enzo Villani , entrepreneur and notably co-creator of Nasdaq Global Corporate Solutions, raised $ 100 million for Alpha Sigma Capital , a hedge fund focused on cryptocurrency and blockchain .
Alpha Sigma Capital supports startups specializing in blockchain and will also invest in tokens , cryptocurrencies , derivatives and stocks .
Alpha Sigma Capital was created to invest in promising projects as we enter the adoption phase of blockchains and digital assets , ” said Enzo Villani, CEO and co-founder of Alpha Sigma Capital.
Founded this year in Los Angeles by Enzo Villani and Michael Onghai , partner at MGT Capital , the hedge fund has already invested in several projects including Factom , a blockchain protocol for Big Data.
It also supports the search engine Presearch , the decentralized AI platform SingularityNet and the South Korean blockchain startup Carry Protocol .

According to a press release, the hedge fund is particularly focused on startups that take advantage of the blockchain to bring added value in sectors such as AI , supply chain , health or even fintech .
