France starts gas supplies to Germany

MOSCOW, 13 Oct – PRIME. France has begun gas supplies to Germany, according to the website of the French operator GRTgaz.
Europe has pumped almost one hundred billion cubic meters of gas into its storage facilities
“Starting today, GRTgaz makes it possible to transport gas to Germany at the connection point in the municipality of Oberheibach (Moselle department). In an unprecedented energy context…”, the publication says.
The first export volumes amounted to 31 gigawatt-hours per day.
As noted in the message, direct deliveries have become an expression of solidarity between Paris and Berlin.
