When it comes to video cards designed specifically for overclocker who spare no expense and want only the best, can only help in the mind Galax with its line of solutions Hall of Fame, In short HOF. The Asian company presented a line of solutions RTX 3090 HOF ready to break every record in the right hands.

Characterized by the white color, a trademark for HOF, the new models based on the design of Nvidia’s RTX 3090 come with a triple fan heatsink (102, 92, 102 mm) and an aluminum cover with RGB lighting. The central radiator is made up of two blocks of aluminum fins connected by six 8mm heatpipes. An 85x85mm vapor chamber above the GPU and several other heatsinks take care of dissipating heat from the board’s main components.

Some of the models feature HOF Panel III, a 4.3 inch LCD screen with 480×272 pixel resolution that “talks” to the system via USB and displays information on the card’s vital parameters. Given its size, Galax has chosen to connect it with magnets, so it can be removed at any time.

The new HOF RTX 3090 range counts six models based on the same PCB but with variable bundles and frequencies. Not all models will also be available worldwide, some will only be available for purchase in China. The base model has a boost frequency of 1800 MHz, which goes up to 1815 MHz via a software profile (KFA2 cards – the European brand of Galax – offer 1-Click OC which does the same thing). The HOF Panel II is absent, but a support for the VGA and Galax gloves are included in the bundle. The OC Lab model has a 460W TGP which can be pushed further up to 500W. Here are the various models:

  • Galax RTX 3090 HOF: boost 1815 MHz – TGP ignoto – HOF Panel II: No
  • Galax RTX 3090 HOF Extreme: boost 1800 MHz – TGP 420W (450W max) – HOF Panel II: No
  • Galax RTX 3090 HOF Premium: boost 1815 MHz – TGP ignoto – HOF Panel II: Sì
  • Galax RTX 3090 HOF Extreme Limited Edition: boost 1860 MHz – 420W (450W max) – HOF Panel II: Sì
  • Galax RTX 3090 HOF Limited Edition: boost 1875 MHz – TGP ignoto – HOF Panel II: Sì
  • Galax RTX 3090 HOF OC Lab Edition: boost 1905 MHz – TGP 460W (500W max) – HOF Panel II: Sì

Galax RTX 3090 HOF cards have a PCB consisting of 12 layers, a power section with 14 + 8 + 4 phases and three 8-pin PCIe connectors to ensure power even under heavy overclocking, even extreme with liquid nitrogen. There is no shortage of a double BIOS (Silent and Performance) and an ARGB Sync connector to intervene on the LEDs, while in the back there are three DisplayPort and one HDMI.
