AMD has updated the drivers Radeon Software Adrenalin to version 12.2.1 with support a The Medium, new third-person psychological horror released on PC (where it supports RTX and DLSS) and Xbox. As for the video card, the developer suggests a GeForce GTX 1660 Super or a Radeon RX 5600XT to play in Full HD, while those who want to have fun in 4K should opt for a GeForce RTX 2080 / RTX 3060 Ti or a Radeon RX 6800.

In addition to the speed improvement, the new AMD driver release fixes some bugs, for example Metro Exodus random crashes with active ray tracing effects and an issue with some Samsung CRG9 series monitors remaining “black” after resuming from standby.

Some issues remain open, for example some users experienced the crash of Hitman 3 in the Apex Predator mission playing with the latest Radeon RX 6000. AMD is also investigating reports indicating how Radeon Software sometimes uses the CPU more than it should when the PC is in an idle state.
