Gazprom announced an increase in funding for the gasification program

S. PETERSBURG, 15 Sep — PRIME. The Russian gasification program for 2021-2025 can be adjusted upwards from the current 526 billion to more than 700 billion rubles after reaching additional agreements on gasification, follows from the words of the head of Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Sergey Gustov.

“We are ready for additional spending. Despite the fact that our program (the development of gas supply and gasification for 2021-2025 – ed.) is already estimated at 526 billion, we have received more letters from the heads to increase programs and sign new ones. We predict growth , the program will be well over 700,” he said during the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum.

Gazprom Mezhregiongaz is a specialized subsidiary of Gazprom. It supplies gas to more than 32 million subscribers in 70 constituent entities. One of the most large-scale and socially significant areas of the enterprise’s work is the gasification of Russian regions.

In 15 years, from 2005 to 2020, Gazprom built almost 40,000 kilometers of gas pipelines in 69 Russian regions. In total, over a million households and apartments were supplied with gas during this period, more than 6,000 boiler houses and industrial enterprises were connected. Now the company is implementing a program for the development of gas supply and gasification of regions for 2021–2025. It plans to build almost 25,000 kilometers of gas pipelines and create conditions for gasification of more than 3,600 settlements. As expected, the level of gasification of the constituent entities will increase from 71.4% as of January 2021 to 74.7% as of January 2026.
