MOSCOW, 18 Oct — PRIME. Gazprom supplies gas to Europe through the territory of Ukraine through the Sudzha gas measuring station (GIS) in the volume confirmed by the Ukrainian side, which is 42.4 million cubic meters as of October 18, while the application for the Sokhranovka GIS was rejected, an official representative of the Russian company Sergey Kupriyanov.

Gas prices in Europe fell to $1,200 per thousand cubic meters

Ukraine has stopped accepting Russian gas transit through the GIS “Sokhranivka” since May 11, indicating that the facility is under the control of Russian forces (on the territory of the LPR). As a result, there was only one entrance left for gas transit to Europe – the Sudzha GIS. Gazprom stated that the transfer of all volumes to Sudzha is technologically impossible, the company fulfills all obligations to European consumers, and transit services are fully paid.

Since the end of May, Russian gas supplies through Ukraine’s gas transmission system to Europe have been at the level of 40-43 million cubic meters per day.
