The Ministry of Digital Development called the share of refusals to IT employees in the postponement of mobilization

MOSCOW, 18 Oct — PRIME. Refusal to defer partial mobilization was received by no more than 0.5% of the employees of IT and telecom companies who applied, according to the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation.

“Employees of IT and telecom companies who applied for a deferment, but do not meet the necessary criteria, received notifications at the State Services … The share of refusals from the total number of applications submitted is no more than 0.5%,” the official said in a statement. Ministry’s Telegram channel.

It is clarified that the postponement was denied due to the fact that the specialty in the diploma of the applicant is not included in the list approved by the Ministry of Digital Development, or because his position is not related to functions that are critical for the company’s activities.

At the end of September, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced that in order to ensure the operation of certain high-tech industries, as well as the financial system of Russia, a decision was made not to recruit citizens with higher education in the relevant specialties and areas of training as part of the partial mobilization of citizens with higher education. In particular, we are talking about the fact that IT, communications, media and finance specialists will not be involved in partial mobilization. The Ministry of Digital Development supported this decision.

Later, the Ministry of Digital Transformation opened a service for applying for exemption from conscription at Gosuslugakh as part of the partial mobilization of employees of IT and telecom companies. The department generates and sends lists of employees to the Ministry of Defense.

In Russia, by decree of President Vladimir Putin, a partial mobilization has been announced since September 21. According to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, a total of 300 thousand reservists will be called up, which is just over 1% of the total mobilization resource of the Russian Federation.
