MOSCOW, 9 Oct — PRIME. “Gazprom” supplies gas to Europe in transit through the territory of Ukraine through the gas measuring station (GIS) “Sudzha” in the volume confirmed by the Ukrainian side, which is 42.4 million cubic meters on October 9, the application for the GIS “Sokhanovka” was rejected, the official representative of the Russian company said Sergey Kupriyanov.
Ukraine has stopped accepting gas for transit through the GIS “Sokhranivka” since May 11, indicating that the facility is under the control of Russian forces (on the territory of the LPR). As a result, only one entrance remained for gas transit to Europe – the Sudzha GIS. Gazprom stated that transferring all volumes to Sudzha is technologically impossible, the company fulfills all obligations to European consumers, and transit services are fully paid.
Gas deliveries from Russia to Europe through the gas transmission system of Ukraine have been holding at the level of 40-43 million cubic meters per day since the end of May.
