MOSCOW, 31 Aug — PRIME. “Gazprom” in the near future will connect the Unified Gas Supply System (UGSS) of Russia in the European part with the GTS in the east of the country, said the head of the company Alexei Miller.
Gazprom is preparing a record gas supply for Russia for the winter
“We have already made a huge start in building and creating a gas transmission system in the Far East of Russia, in Eastern Siberia. And this backlog allows us to substantively, specifically set the task that we will carry out in the very near future – to connect the Unified Gas Supply System Russia in the European part with that part of the gas transportation system that has already been created in the east,” he said at a conference call dedicated to the Day of Oil and Gas Industry Workers.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said in April that it was necessary to work out the issue of including the Power of Siberia and Sakhalin-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok gas pipelines into the Unified Gas Supply System (UGSS) in order to provide regions in this part of the country with gas.
