Geforce Experience Share lets friends take over gaming sessions over the internet

Streaming games online has gone from being something only for big profiles and professionals on the E-sports scene to a popular movement among happy amateurs. Nvidia, which with Geforce Experience caught on to the trend early on, is constantly adding new features and in the latest test version, a few more are added.

First of all, a new overlay mode is added to make it easier to access the features of the software. It includes all the usual streaming features, including streaming to Twitch and editing and uploading recorded clips on Youtube.

The big news, however, is Gamestream Co-op, which makes it possible to invite friends from a distance. The screen is streamed over the internet and the recipient can take over the session to help with, for example, a difficult boss. Another feature is the ability to hand out an “extra hand control” in a local multiplayer mode, even though only the host computer is running the game.

As before, the Geforce Experience is not without restrictions but requires a modern graphics card from the Geforce GTX series. The same thus applies not only to the host computer but also to the person who takes over or participates in the game remotely.

The trial version can be downloaded from Nvidia’s official website and the sharp version is expected by the end of the year.
