Geforce GTX Titan Black Edition at the entrance

In mid-February, the first graphics processor with the new Maxwell architecture will be introduced. However, this does not mean that Nvidia puts an end to today’s Kepler, on the contrary, the giant circuit GK110 will be used in another performance model.

Sources at Taiwanese partner manufacturers now tell SweClockers that Nvidia has a new flagship up its sleeve. The graphics card is called Geforce GTX Titan Black Edition and is said to contain 2,880 CUDA cores, ie the full version of the GK110 circuit.

To justify the name, 6 GB of GDDR5 memory and a black anodized cooler with metal shells are added, but also specially selected graphics circuits that can handle high clock frequencies. In practice, this is a heated Geforce GTX 780 Ti with more memory and possibly more space for GPU Boost.

The launch of the Geforce GTX Titan Black Edition is said to take place in February. The recommended price ends up at the same level as today’s GTX Titan, ie around SEK 9,000 including VAT.
