Geforce RTX 3080 breaks cryptocurrency at a furious pace

Breaking cryptocurrencies with its graphics card may not be at its absolute peak at the moment, but that does not stop Videocardz from reporting performance figures from the not yet launched Geforce RTX 3080.

In Nicehash mining with the Daggerhashimoto algorithm, the card is said to reach a full 81.3 MH / s in factory-clocked state, while an overclocking scares up the corresponding figure to 89.5 MH / s. In both scenarios, the card is limited to 100 percent of its power level and thus seems to have something more to offer for those who do not pay their own electricity bill.

For comparison, Videocardz mentions that the Radeon RX 5700 XT and Geforce 2080 Ti both reach about 54 MH / s. In other words, the upcoming Geforce RTX 3080 is about 50 percent faster than the previous generation’s high-performance model in this type of cryptocurrency mining.

How high is cryptocurrency breaking on the agenda for those of you who are going to acquire Nvidia’s upcoming graphics cards?
