Investment company Jansen Products claims to revive 3dfx

The Twitter account 3dfx Interactive was created in late July and has sent out a couple tweets where it is claimed that the brand will re-emerge. It has been thin with details but now the account speaks up again to explain a little more about the investment.

According to the account, the investment company Jansen Products is behind the brand and they claim that they have put their hands on 3dfx assets on July 23 and that they will soon register the brand 3dfx. The investment mentions that the brand will be used to market graphics cards, TVs and sound systems.

At least one excavator of salt is still required in this context as no trademark has been registered yet and Jansen Products in San Francisco is not included in the US company register. The Twitter account has also not been verified and the risk that this is just a bus route remains, in other words, to a very high degree. If the information turns out to be correct, we can at most see branded OEM products with a 3dfx logo on, own product development is not on the schedule.
