Geforce Titan Z in the trade before the end of the month

Those who have a well-stocked wallet can look forward to new worsts on the graphics card front. A while ago, the monster model Radeon R9 295X2 was introduced and now it’s time for Nvidia’s counterattack, which with two GK110 may very well take over the coveted title of the world’s fastest graphics card.

To SweClockers, Swedish retailers now state that the Geforce GTX Titan Z will fall on the storage shelves on April 29, but only in a very limited edition. The graphics card is mainly intended for CUDA developers and comes with a cool price tag: 2,999 dollars or almost 30,000 kronor including VAT.

Like its predecessors, the Titan Z includes the giant GK110 graphics processor. This time, however, two circuits are combined for a total of 5,760 CUDA cores and 12 GB of GDDR5 memory, effectively 6 GB per graphics processor. At the same time, the graphics card grows a notch and takes up a total of three card slots.

Unlike the Radeon R9 295X2, on the other hand, traditional air cooling is used, but according to Nvidia, this does not mean that the graphics card is hot and loud. Low-profile components, specially designed air ducts and dynamic clock frequencies should keep the graphics card both quiet and cool.
