Geological exploration at Sakhalin-3 fields to be resumed in 2023

“From 2023, Gazprom Neft (MOEX: SIBN) plans to resume exploration work at the Ayash block projects, the Neptune and Triton fields. According to the company’s forecasts, the first oil will be produced by 2030 in the amount of 3 million tons, with further an increase of up to 10 million tons of oil annually,” the head of the region said on Wednesday at the plenary session of the Far Eastern Energy Forum “Oil and Gas of Sakhalin 2022”.

The governor emphasized that the region connects the prospects for the development of the oil and gas industry with the Sakhalin-3 project of the Gazprom company.

“Our strategic goal is to create conditions for the dynamic development of this project. It involves the development and production drilling at the Yuzhno-Kirinskoye field. Gas production will begin as part of the project in 2025. At the first stage, 5 billion cubic meters with a subsequent increase to 10 billion cubic meters of gas “, — added Limarenko.
