Gigabyte announces Geforce GTX 1080 Aorus Xtreme Edition

Last year, Gigabyte announced that they would start launching gaming-oriented products under the Aorus brand, with both motherboards and graphics cards aimed at MSI Gaming and Asus ROG. The first of these were shown during this year’s CES trade fair and now the first Aorus graphics card is launched.

The model is a Geforce GTX 1080 from Nvidia and is based on Gigabyte’s previous Xtreme Gaming model, with identical clock speeds of 1,784 MHz in base and 1,936 MHz in turbo mode. Even for the model’s memory, the clock speed is at the same level, with a speed of 1,300 MHz (10,400 MHz efficient).

In addition to the color difference, the radiator is the same as for the Xtreme Gaming model, where the card takes up three expansion slots and has three 100 mm fans on the top and two 8-pin PCI Express connectors for power supply. Just like the previous model, the card is equipped with two extra HDMI sockets in the front of the card for easier connection of VR headsets.
