Gigabyte jumps on the Radeon R9 Fury train

For months, low access to the graphics circuit Fiji has been a monkey for AMD and not least its partner, where many have not yet launched a Radeon R9 Fury. Now, however, it looks like there is a change in that matter, as Sapphire, Asus, Powercolor and XFX are now joined by Gigabyte.

Gigabyte’s edition comes equipped with the company’s cooler Windforce 3X, which with three fans and six heat conduction pipes in copper should be able to dissipate 600 W of heat. To this end, Gigabyte hits the big drum for the OC Guru II software, which can be used to update the BIOS and overclock the graphics card.

For the specifications, the Fiji Pro graphics circuit is marked with 3,584 stream processors, which spin at 1,010 MHz – only one percent above the standard frequency 1,000 MHz. This is accompanied by a 4,096-bit memory bus with 4 GB HBM at 500 MHz (1,000 MHz efficient) for a bandwidth of 512 GB / s.
