Gigabyte offers the GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card with GDDR6. More performance, same price

Gigabyte updates its graphics card catalog and reveals two new models of the GeForce GTX 1650 equipped with GDDR6 memory instead of the less performing GDDR5 proposed in the first version of last year. In more detail, the Taiwanese company launches the variants GeForce GTX 1650 D6 OC 4G is GeForce GTX 1650 D6 WindForce OC 4GB, two products that with these characteristics approach the GeForce GTX 1650 Ti announced in November instead.

The cards in question keep the other technical characteristics unchanged, updating the memory chips that go from 4GB GDDR5 8Gbps to 4GB GDDR6 12Gbps, obviously with a consequent increase in the bandwidth (from 128 to 192 GB / s on 128-bit bus).

This update proposed by Gigabyte suggests that NVIDIA has given the go-ahead to partners to use the GDDR6 memory on this specific card model, which is why we expect further versions from other brands. Among the first companies to follow Gigabyte there is in fact Zotac which offers the GTX1650-4GD6 OC, a card that, according to the first tests leaked on expreview, would guarantee a average performance increase of 6% compared to the "old" GeForce GTX 1650 GDDR5 (more details in the STREET).

As for the price, currently the GeForce GTX 1650 GDDR6 (or D6) is available on the Chinese market at the same price as the GDDR5 variant, instead we have no details regarding availability and prices on the European market.
