Gigabyte prepares 29 motherboards based on the Intel B660 chipset

This June 4, the new B660 motherboards from different manufacturers will be officially announced, and “HW Reveal” has leaked a list with all the models that Gigabyte will launch, taking most of the surprise out of the announcement.

The complete list contains a total of 29 motherboards, so there will be a wide variety to choose from. Of these 29, 12 will support DDR5 memories while the remaining 17 will support DDR4, and many models will have varieties with both types of memory to be able to enjoy their characteristics regardless of the memory choice that is made.

In addition to filtering this list, HW Reveal also leaked a picture of the B660 AORUS MASTER, the top model in Gigabyte’s B660 line. As we can see, the motherboard looks really good for a B-series chipset, although based on experience with the B560, it will not be as accessible as other models with this chipset. Luckily, there will be another version with DDR4 to at least save on RAM memories, either reusing the current ones if they already have a DDR4 kit or buying a kit much cheaper than what a DDR5 kit comes out, so not anyway it will be so expensive to build a system with this motherboard.

The B660 motherboards will be announced this January 4 alongside the H610 motherboards, and will hit the market the next day, January 5, so there is very little to see. Along with them will come the new Alder Lake “No-K”, among which the i3-12100 and i5-12400 stand out for their great price-performance. It will be interesting to see how much it costs to upgrade to Alder Lake once they are on the market, although everything indicates that a B660 combo along with one of these processors will be the ideal choice for gaming in 2022.
