Gigabyte registers the Geforce RTX 2060 with six different memory configurations

Nvidia’s Geforce GTX 1000 series was a real long-distance driver and for over two years, the architecture Pascal was the basis for the consumer-oriented graphics cards. During the time period, for example, the middle-class model Geforce GTX 1060 was released in a number of designs, where mainly memory speed and the amount of graphics memory vary.

The manufacturer Gigabyte has now registered the Geforce RTX 2060 graphics card with the Eurasian Economic Union (EaEU), where 39 variants of the graphics card are listed in the Union’s database. This confirms that Gigabyte intends to release the card in several different designs and series, such as lavish Aorus Xtreme and compact models intended for computers with the form factor Mini ITX.

The code name for each registered product is followed by a number that reveals the amount of graphics memory and in this respect 6, 4 and 3 GB are visible for all models. In addition, the names contain information about the memory type, where both highly current GDDR6 and older GDDR5 are listed, but whether it is the faster memory type GDDR5X or not can not be read.

The different amounts and types of graphics memory mean that six different memory configurations may be relevant for Geforce RTX 2060, but it is unlikely that they will all be available at the same time. The Geforce RTX 2060 has not yet been officially unveiled, but previous data speaks of performance slightly higher than for the Geforce GTX 1070 and a launch sometime in January 2019.
