Gigabyte reveals external water-cooled graphics dock

As support for connecting external graphics cards over Thunderbolt 3 found its way into Windows 10, it became possible to expand ultra-thin laptops with more potent graphics capabilities. However, the market for external graphics card dolls has not exploded, and the Razer Core family is one of the few in the market. Now Gigabyte is expanding the market with a new variant of its Aorus Gaming Box.

What sets Gigabyte’s product apart from the competition is that the latest Aorus Gaming Box holds no less than a Geforce RTX 2080 Ti. This is equipped with integrated water cooling (AIO) with a base plate in copper and two fans of 120 millimeters. The doll is also equipped with two detachable dust filters.

In terms of connections, the Aorus Gaming Box is surprisingly equipped with a USB Type-C port with Thunderbolt 3. In terms of other picture connections, there are also three Displayport connections and an HDMI. Other connections include two USB 3.0 Type-A and one Ethernet port.

Gigabyte has not announced the launch date or price tag for the Aorus Gaming Box. However, a Geforce RTX 2080 Ti with integrated water cooling speaks for a not entirely wallet-friendly sum.

Are you interested in a thin laptop with external graphics, or is it just the best possible desktop gaming computer that counts?
