Graphics card availability is starting to get easier in Sweden

Sweden’s three largest players in the graphics card market are Komplett, Inet and Webhallen. Together, they account for a significant amount of all graphics card sales that take place here. Therefore, we thought that a survey of their existing stock balances and prices would be in place now that it finally looks as if availability has eased a bit.

* The web hall has set the status “Notify me” on some graphics cards and has informed us that this status must be changed manually.
** Complete has two graphics cards in the RX 6000 series that have stock status “More than 100 pcs”.

In total, the three retailers we have looked at have more than 1,000 graphics cards in stock of the new series. Considering that Webhallen and Komplett do not show everything they have in stock, the actual figure is higher than that.

Another retailer that seems to have a relatively large number of cards in stock is Netonnet, but since they do not report the number in stock publicly, we chose not to include them in the comparison. Danish Proshop, on the other hand, seems to have achieved quite great success with its graphics card sales to Sweden in the past period.

We thought that it might also be interesting to see what prices apply if you want to get a graphics card in the current situation. How do they compare to the recommended price from each manufacturer (MSRP)?

Three products shine with their absence from the three dealers we looked at, Geforce RTX 3060 Ti, RTX 3080 and Radeon RX 6800. When it comes to how much overprice you have to pay set against the recommended price, the Radeon RX 6800 XT is not entirely the biggest culprit. while the Geforce RTX 3080 Ti and 3090 have the lowest “mark-up”.

In the case of the Geforce RTX 3080 Ti, however, it is more difficult to give a thumbs up as it feels like one of the few cards released with a recommended price that was reasonably “realistic”.

Finally, we can state that for the first time in quite a long time, it is possible to choose between different models and different third-party manufacturers in the hunt for a new graphics card. Unlike previous months where we did random sampling and basically combed home zero available products.

On the other hand, you can expect to pay anywhere from 46 to 115 percent more than the recommended price. But, if you want to build a computer with a new graphics card, it works anyway. Which is more than I could say when I myself tried to put together a new machine earlier this year.
