HiCookie, Gigabyte’s in-house overclocker, overclocks the Pentium G7400T to 5.8GHz and breaks several records along the way

These last few weeks we have been talking about the overclocking of the Alder Lake “No-K” processors, and although the Core i5-12400 are not enough to break any record in the 6-core categories, since the i5-12600K dominates there, the i3-12300 has been dominating the 4-core category, and now for the first time results have appeared from the Pentium Gold G7400T, dominating the 2-core category alongside the GIGABYTE Z690 AORUS TACHYON.

The first results of this Pentium Gold come from the hand of Gigabyte’s in-house overclocker Hicookie, who used his Z690 AORUS Tachyon motherboard to push the G7400T up to 5808 MHz using liquid nitrogen. This allowed it to achieve a result of 20,107 points in Geekbench 3 – Multi Core, crushing the 16,265 points that had been achieved with the i3-7350K, the previous leader of the 2-core categories, showing the power of Alder Lake even at 1GHz. less than the 6836MHz that the i3-7350K had in said result.

HiCookie also broke records in HWBOT X265 Benchmark – 4K, HWBOT X265 Benchmark – 1080p, and Y-CRUNCHER – PI – 1B, though we haven’t yet seen results with this processor in Cinebench or Geekbench, the more traditional tests. Surely HiCookie or some other overclocker will get to work soon, and show us how far these new Pentium Gold go in these benchmarks.
