How to display the day of the week on the Windows 11 taskbar

Suddenly someone asks you what day of the week it is and you do nothing but scratch your head. Keeping track of days is a huge task these days. Well, you have come to the right place. What’s better than showing the day of the week in the upper right corner of the taskbar along with the date? If someone asks you about the day next time, just roll your eyes to your computer screen. This article explains in detail how you can display the day of the week along with the date on the Windows 11 taskbar.

Paso 1: press WIN y R keys together to launch the To run window.

to write intl.cpl and hit Pay in key to open the Regional settings control window.

Paso 2: At Region settings window, click Formats tab at the top and then on Additional settings button at the bottom.

Paso 3: Now click on the Date tab.

If you want to show the day of week in short format, that is, for example, Thu (for Thursday), then in the Short quote text field, type ddd, followed by a separator (for example, ‘:’), just before the date format.

Por ejemplo, ddd: dd / MM / aaaa

Once done, press Request button then OK button. If you look at the taskbar now, you can see the day of the week added to your date.

Paso 4: If you want to display the day of the week in long format, i.e. for example Thursday instead of Thursday,

Click on Date tab first and then on the Short quote text field, type dddd followed by a separator (for example, ‘:’) just before your date format.

Por ejemplo, dddd: dd / MM / aaaa

Catch Request button then OK once you are done. Now you can check and check whether or not a long day is displayed on the taskbar.
