Minecraft has tons of building blocks. You can use literally any type of wood and / or stone to build a house. Wood and stone are natural and the easiest to obtain. Wood is not as strong as stone and if you want your foundation to be vine-proof, you need to build it with material that has maximum blast resistance.

Bricks are one of the best and most resistant materials that you will find in Minecraft. They are also aesthetically pleasing. Unfortunately, bricks do not occur naturally. They have to be elaborate and require a lot of material to be collected. Bricks can be used to build brick blocks. Brick blocks can be used to make houses in Minecraft.

To make bricks in Minecraft, you need;

  • An oven
  • Fuel for the oven (charcoal, firewood, algae)
  • Clay balls

Get clay balls

Clay balls are drawn from blocks of clay. Clay blocks are found around the shores of lakes. You can break a block of clay with a shovel and it will produce balls of clay. Clay balls can be stacked in stacks of 16.

Visually, it can be difficult to identify a block of clay as it will almost always be underwater, but it has a grayish tint and its texture is different from that of sand.

How to make bricks in Minecraft

Once you’ve gathered your clay balls, you can start making bricks.

  1. Open the oven.
  2. Put the fuel in the oven.
  3. Place the clay balls in the melting cell.
  4. Wait for the process to complete and you will get a brick.
  5. Repeat for all the bricks you want to make.

Make brick block

If you want to make a brick block, you need four bricks.

  1. Open the workbench.
  2. Lay a brick in a 2×2 formation.
  3. Pick up the brick block.
