How to open an application as administrator by default in Windows 11

There are some applications that work better when they are opened as an administrator and when you are logged in as a user account, then you probably cannot just open the application by double clicking on it. Instead, you have to right-click and choose to run as administrator every time. This problem does not arise if you are logged into your system as an administrator. But did you know that there is a way to make only one specific application open as administrator always in Windows 11. If you wonder how you can do that, is it really a matter of a few simple steps? In this post, we are explaining how you can always open an application as administrator on your Windows 11 system.

Simple steps to follow to open any application as administrator always in Windows 11

Step 1: Right-click the icon of the application you want to open as administrator always as shown below.

NOTE: We have chosen the Opera browser as an example of explanation. You can do the same with any application you want.

Step 2: Then select Properties (edit) from the context menu to open the Properties window.

Step 3: In the Properties window, go to Compatibility tab.

Step 4: In the Settings section, check the Run this program as administrator cash register.

Step 5: Then click Request Y OK as shown in the following screenshot to make changes.

Now from now on, this app will open as administrator every time you try to open it just by double clicking on it on your Windows 11 system.

That’s friends.
