How to open Google Chrome without extensions in Windows 11/10

Google Chrome is the most used browser all over the world and it has great features that make it the best among others. It has a feature called extensions that has its pros and cons. But sometimes, when you unknowingly install extensions from some third-party provider, it can actually cause problems that can destroy your browser and other software. Therefore, it is better to disable extensions in Google Chrome whenever you need to use it. If you also want to open Google Chrome without extensions, this post will help you to do it.

How to open Google Chrome without extensions in Windows 11

Step 1: Go to Desk pressing windows + D keys together on your keyboard.

Step 2: Right click on the Desk empty screen and hover over New context menu option.

Step 3: Then click Shortcut from the list as shown in the following screenshot.

Step 4 – In the Create Shortcut window, click Surf to browse the destination location of the Chrome app, as shown below.

Step 5 – Select the shortcut destination for the Chrome app, and then click OK As shown below.

NOTE: The destination can be navigated by this given path: C:Program FilesGoogleChromeApplication. Then select Chrome app from the app folder as shown below.

Step 6 – After selecting the destination location for the Chrome app, add the destination location with –disable-extensions and click next button to continue.

NOTE: Should be “C:Program FilesGoogleChromeApplicationchrome.exe” –disable extensions at the location of the shortcut element.

Step 7: Once done, name the shortcut appropriately. Such as Chrome without extensions and click End up button.

Step 8: Next, whenever you want to open Google Chrome without extensions, just go to desk and double click Chrome no extensions shortcut that we created a moment ago.

Step 9 – If you want to open regular Google Chrome with extensions, open it by clicking its icon from the start menu or taskbar.
