How to Play Music on Echo Auto Offline by Linking Your Phone?

If you want to play music on Echo Dot without an internet connection, you don’t have to worry, since it is something you can do thanks to the fact that Alexa connects to your mobile device via Bluetooth and not via Wi-Fi, which means that you do not need internet to be able to use it. If you still don’t know how to connect it to your mobile or how to play your music, don’t worry, we’ll show you below.

How to play music offline via Bluetooth with mobile?

The first thing you have to do is Pair Alexa with your Smartphone. Tell Alexa via an ‘Alexa Pair’ command, you’ll know it’s ready when she says ‘Ready to pair’. After this you will have to go to the configuration of your phone and follow the steps that we will show you.

  • Go into your phone’s settings and head directly to Bluetooth.
  • Turn on your Bluetooth and search through the compatible devices for the Echo Dot. You will get the name as EchoXXX where the X will be a different number on each device.
  • You only have to wait a few minutes for the pairing to take place and it will be ready when Alexa says ‘Connected to Bluetooth’. If the process does not work, you may have to check the bluetooth of your mobile. After you go through the setup steps to connect Bluetooth to the Echo Dot then you can listen to your music.
