This process is something completely simple that following A series of steps that we will explain below you will achieve it in your Messenger quickly and you will achieve a more striking start.
The first thing you should do if you are using the platform from your PC is to open your account in Messenger, an account that you previously created on Facebook, so you only have to enter the data. Once you see your home screen with all the chats, click on the one you want to customize, and immediately the screen will be divided into 3 options.
On the right side of the screen, below your contact’s profile photo, you will see the option ‘Customize chat’ and click there. Now a series of options will be displayed, in which ‘Change theme’ appears, press to choose a theme with a specific color.
When you are within the Messenger platform, touch the chat you want to configure and touch the name of the contact and select the option ‘Theme’. Thus, you can select the topic that you like the most to customize the chat and you can see how it would look with the ‘Preview’ option.
To do it from an iPad there is not much difference than the iPhone application; first select the chat and then press the name and among the options choose ‘Theme’. Among the list that comes out, select one and preview and test if you like it, or go back to choose another.
If you have downloaded the Messenger application on your Android, the process is still very simple; Open the application and press a chat to personalize it. Then enter the options at the top tap an ‘i’ icon or from the contact’s name and click now on ‘Theme’ to select one of them all.
Dark mode is also one of the new functions that Facebook launched on its platform, so it can be done in Messenger and we will explain how you can do it.
To do this it must be through the Messenger application for computers; and you must go to ‘Settings’ by clicking on your profile picture. Click now on ‘Preferences’ and select ‘Appearance’ in which you should search and select the option ‘Duplicate system preferences’ and then ‘High Contrast’.
For these devices, the steps are completely the same; first click on your profile picture next to ‘Chats’ on the top left. Among the options that come out on the screen you will see the ‘Dark Mode’, in which you tap the switch to turn the function on or off.
Other settings you should know and take into account to apply in your Messenger chats are nicknames and emoticons, which we are going to explain to you.
You can change these emoticons or emojis to be a representative of the chat that you chose and that always appears at the top of the chat options. In this way you can have it at hand every time you want to use it and give the chat personality.
This means that you can edit the name with which it appears that friend on Messenger, without any limit on how many nicknames you can put. Keep in mind that if you make that change in no way will the name of that person in their Facebook account be affected, only you will have that change.
Those two we mentioned are some of the customizations that you can do in your Messenger account, so you don’t get tired of the monotony of the account.
