The economic security service of the Kraskom company, which serves the power grids in the Leninsky district of Krasnoyarsk, revealed the illegal connection of a mining farm for bitcoin mining.
The official report of the company “Kraskom” states that the organizers of the mining farm illegally connected to the municipal power grids and for some time used electricity without paying for it. According to preliminary calculations, the amount of losses exceeds 2 million rubles.
“Our economic security service has calculated the illegal connection of a mining farm for bitcoin mining to the municipal power grids. At the moment, we are still counting the damage caused to us, but according to preliminary data, the amount of losses incurred by Kraskom during this time has already exceeded 2 million rubles, ”the statement reads.
The cryptocurrency mining farm was located in farm buildings in the Leninsky district of Krasnoyarsk. The police seized more than one hundred pieces of cryptocurrency equipment for a total value of over 10 million rubles, which consumed about 400 kV / h over two months. Currently, a pre-investigation check is being carried out on this fact.
