WASHINGTON, Oct 11 – PRIME The winter of 2022 will be tough for Europe due to the emerging energy crisis, but the next winter of 2023 could be even worse, International Monetary Fund (IMF) chief economist Pierre-Olivier Gourinsha said Tuesday at the presentation of the IMF report.
The IMF said when global inflation will reach its peak
“Winter 2022 will be tough, but winter 2023 could get even worse,” he said.
The IMF representative also noted that the energy crisis in Europe is not an “interim shock” and will be more extensive and sustainable.
