Update: After publication of this In Win test let me know that from now the In Win 707 will be delivered with a rear fan equipped with a molex -> 3-pin adapter in order to facilitate regulation (like this one). ci), the new models will be equipped with a fan directly connected in 3-pin. The noise level generated by the fan goes from 46 dB to 33 dB in 5V, which raises the noise pollution rating from 2 stars to 3.5 stars. It’s good to see that In Win listens to the feedback and acts quickly on it!

After the tests of the 901 and 904 from In Win which combine elegance and quality of manufacture, I will today tackle a more “classic” case and cut for the game, I named the 707! On the program a very spacious case capable of very good cooling specially designed for “gamers” (in black version, the white version being designed for silence) in poor performance, let’s see what we will see!

As we can see we are here in the presence of a good big baby, In Win has indeed given birth to a rather bulky case with its 58.2 cm in length, 53/2 cm in height and 24.3 cm in width for 11.4 kg ! This size has of course repercussions on the compatibility of the components, it will be possible to install a graphics card up to 36.5cm (without removing the hard disks cage, which is removable) as well as a CPU cooler up to ‘at 20.6cm, which is to say that it will be compatible with all the components on the market without even asking the question, which is a good thing!
On the motherboard it will be possible to install one up to E-ATX format, 3 5.25 ″ bays are available as well as 8 3.5 ″ / 2.5 ″ hard drive / SSD baskets.
In Win has also not done in the lace when it comes to ventilation with a total of 9 fans maximum, 2 of 14 cm on the front (supplied), 1 of 14 cm at the back (supplied), 1 of 12 / 14 cm on the side (behind the motherboard), 3 of 12 cm on the top, 1 of 12/14 cm below (next to the power supply) as well as 1 of 12/14 cm just behind the cage of HDDs. Suffice to say that if the goal is to make a big blower with a maximum of fans, the In Win 707 will respond without the slightest problem.
Of course the front panel is well stocked in connection with the eternal 2 x USB 3.0, 2 x USB 2.0 and 2 x 3.5mm jack, on the other hand there is no reset button here unfortunately.
Note that there is
2 versions of the case, the black version (that of today’s test) “kid” equipped with a glass door and a fan slot on the panel behind the motherboard and the white version without glass but with anti-vibration materials.
Offered at a price of 89.95 € it is in the mid-range of boxes on the market, let’s see what this gives in practice!

In_Win_707_boite2
In_Win_707_boite1

Once is not custom In Win is really sober with a very stripped cardboard, only the model, the brand as well as the mention “Full Tower” are in the game, and quite frankly I will not complain about it. !

In_Win_707_boite3
In_Win_707_boite4

On the edges we find the full technical characteristics, weight, dimensions, fans, graphics card / cooler compatibility etc … Nothing is missing and at least we know what we are buying! On the other side a listing of all the strong points of the case, window for the “gaming” version or noise-reduction materials for the “silent” version, etc.

In_Win_707_boite5

Once the box is opened as usual at In Win the box is very well protected, a plastic bag in 2 foam panels are there to cushion any possible shocks related to transport.

In_Win_707_bundle

Here again everything is as usual at In Win, all the parts of the bundle are labeled and in individual bags, no problems in sight and at least we know with what the different components must be screwed.

In_Win_707

Here is the beast! All black dressed with a little red here and there, especially around the facade and the door giving access to the 5.25 ″ bays. The front panel is entirely in plastic while the rest is in steel (except the acrylic glass of course!). The general build quality is excellent as usual at In Win, let’s take a closer look!

In_Win_707_cote1

The side panel includes a curved acrylic window with the In Win logo engraved in its center (which cannot be seen very well in the photo!), We can see the ventilation holes on the sides of the facade which will be loaded to pass the necessary air to the 2 front fans for cooling the configuration.

In_Win_707_cote2

More atypical, the panel behind the motherboard offers a location for a 12 or 14 cm fan, which will be responsible for blowing on the back of the motherboard at the level of the processor socket. The usefulness of such a fan is very limited, I doubt the temperatures will change at all with this money installed.

In_Win_707_dessus

Above is a long grid capable of accommodating 3 fans of 12 cm, as much to say that it can ventilate dry from the top if this is your good will.

In_Win_707_connectique

Regarding the connection as we can see we are in the presence of a great classic, 2 USB 3.0 ports, 2 USB 2.0 prots as well as 2 3.5mm jacks for the microphone and the headphones. On the left the hard disk activity LED and on the right the power button.

In_Win_707_boute_power

Power button which is located on the edge and equipped with a power-on LED located between the button itself and the red on the front.

In_Win_707_dessous

Below still a lot of vents, the power supply (on the right) has the right to its filter as well as the ventilation which is under the cage of the discs. The feet are long and rather wide but do not have rubber feet, which is a shame.

In_Win_707_devant

The front is all plastic with a brushed aluminum effect, the build quality is very good for plastic. The In Win logo is located at the top and is silver. The presence of a small door at the level of the 5.25 ″ bays keeps this fairly sober and classy overall.

In_Win_707_devant2

Once opened we come across the 3 5.25 ″ bays, the build quality is once again very good except for the door hinges which are a bit “cheap”, too bad.

In_Win_707_derriere

At the rear nothing very exceptional, the 14cm fan is as usual behind a honeycomb grille, we note however the presence of 4 holes for the water-cooling pipes, which will logically be more than enough ! The brackets are also all openwork.

In_Win_707_interieur

Here is the interior of the beast, the first thing that strikes here is the space available for the motherboard, indeed it is very wide here and also very high. The opening behind the motherboard is also more than generous and opens directly onto the side panel fan slot.

In_Win_707_interieur_alimentation

The power supply will rest on 2 steel rails and will therefore be very slightly raised compared to the grid below.

In_Win_707_interieur_ventilateur_cote_alimentation

Next to it we find the locations for the fans, grid and dust filter are part of the game.

In_Win_707_interieur_cage_hdd

The storage part, 8 3.5 ″ / 2.5 ″ baskets spread over 2 cages (one of 5 and one of 3) with the removable upper part to accommodate the most monstrous graphics cards. The fans (14 cm powered by 3-pin) are directly glued to these cages and retained by plastic clips.

In_Win_707_panier_hdd

The hard disk baskets are made of plastic, each 3.5 ″ disk can be installed without tools between 4 rubber silentblocs. It will be possible to install 2.5 ″ discs via the holes provided for this purpose (and the 4 screws that go with them!).

In_Win_707_5_25

The 5.25 ″ devices also have a tool-free installation, just pull out the yellow pins, install a reader in them and push them in, you’re done!

In_Win_707_interieur_equerres

The 8 brackets are fitted with hand screws, here everything is black and of very good quality.

In_Win_707_passe_cables

The grommets are all made of very good quality rubber and are quite practical, nothing to say about these gentlemen.

In_Win_707_interieur_dessus_ventilation

A pseudo dust filter is also present above, it will not be removable on the other hand, we can see however that there is really no shortage of space, as a sign of not having made holes for 14 cm fans.

In_Win_707_interieur_ventilateur_extraction

The rear fan is a 14 cm transparent plastic model equipped with a red LED, on the other hand a choice that I have trouble understanding is the molex power supply, it will not be possible to regulate it unless you tweak, it will therefore run at its maximum speed all the time.

In_Win_707_interieur_connectique

The internal connections are very classic, the only weak point that I could find is the color of the cables, for once a point of blue on the USB 3.0 cable which is a good thing but on the other hand the old school beige of the USB 2.0 cables and Audio as well as the wires of different colors of LEDS, power button etc … are really not aesthetic.

The configuration used during the tests is as follows:

A rather bulky configuration therefore due to its huge cooler and the 3 slots taken by the graphics card. The In Win 707 will be tested once with 5V fans and once in 12V with only the SSD connected. Another test will take place at 5V with the Raptor hard drive connected, it being literally hell in terms of its vibrations, which will allow us to see the effectiveness of the silentblocs.

In_Win_707_montage1

The assembly of the test configuration went rather well, however, we must be careful to install the spacers before installing the motherboard otherwise the equipment will burn out, which is not really the goal!

In_Win_707_montage2
In_Win_707_montage3

Once the spacers have been placed, the assembly takes place like in any other case, so I’ll skip the details!

In_Win_707_montage_fini

One thing is certain, the configuration can really breathe in the In Win 707, this is not a micro ATX configuration with a small graphics card and a small cooler! Above the motherboard it will be possible to pass your hand without the slightest problem to connect the 8-pin CPU cable, even with the Noctua NH-D15 already in place.

In order to test the box, I will carry out an OCCT Power Supply test for 30mins and then take the temperatures of the main components such as the processor (average of the 4 cores), the motherboard, the graphics card as well as the hard drive.
Regarding noise pollution, I will proceed as in the file on silent PCs namely 1 statement in front, right, left, rear and above. All these tests will be done with the 2 fans set to 5V and 12V, a test will also be carried out with the Western Digital Raptor hard drive and the 5V fans in order to see the impact of vibrations.

The In Win 707 will face the case used for the silent pc backrest, the Corsair Carbide 300R in the original version and modified for the needs of the same folder as well as the Antec P380, XFX Type01 Bravo as well as the Fractal Design Core 3300. The choice of boxes is not random, all these boxes are rather cut for performance rather than silence.

Repos

In_Win_707_resultats_repos_temperatures

One thing is certain, the performance of the 707 is first class, with 5V 28 ° for the processor, 29 ° for the graphics card and 34 ° for the motherboard for 27 ° / 29 ° / 32 ° in 12V. These results are quite simply the best recorded so far and tied with the Antec P380, the 707 is certainly not there to make up for it!
On the other hand, everything has a price and nothing is due to chance in terms of cooling, if the results are very good the noise pollution will also be fatally higher than the other boxes, let’s see that right away!

In_Win_707_resultats_repos_nuisances_sonores

Ambient sound level: 31dB

Ouch aie, the noise pollution emanating from the In Win 707 is rather high, in fact the rear fan being powered by a molex plug as I said above it is unfortunately impossible to regulate and it always runs at full speed. Impossible to know how much it turns but it is he who covers all the rest of the configuration, as proof there is very little difference in noise level with the front fans in 5v or 12V.
The vibrations due to the Wester Digital Raptor hard drive do not emerge in the end very much, drowned out by the same rear fan which is the main source of the noise.

In_Win_707_resultats_repos_pwm

The PWM fans managed by the motherboard run here at a minimum, with 600 RPM for the processor and 500 RPM for the graphics card, go around there is nothing to see!

Charge

In_Win_707_resultats_charge_temperatures

Unsurprisingly, the temperatures are once again excellent for the In Win 707 under load, only 2 small degrees separate the temperatures with the front fans in 5V and 12V. With 56 ° for the processor and 59 ° for the graphics card in 12V it quite simply takes the first place for the performances at the level of the processor and second behind the Antec P380 for the graphics card, just that!
No need to draw, the In Win 707 is clearly cut for ventilation performance and does it very well, a big setup clearly won’t scare the big baby.

In_Win_707_resultats_charge_nuisances_sonores

Ambient sound level: 31dB

In charge of noise pollution does not move a bit, the rear fan (still him) blows and covers all the other components. I would however like to say that even if it is clearly noisy there are no audible parasitic noises, therefore no engine noises, friction, rattling etc. The difference between the front fans in 5V or in 12V is once again marginal, so you might as well leave them at the bottom to gain a few degrees.

In_Win_707_resultats_charge_pwm

The fans are not increasing very much, with 844 RPM / 810 RPM for the processor (front fans in 5V / 12V) and 640 RPM / 600 RPM for the graphics card (front fans in 5V / 12V).

In_Win_707_featured

Here we are at the end of this article, what to say about the In Win 707 box?
First of all, the build quality is very good like all the In Win products that I have had in my hands, it really does not have to be ashamed of more upscale boxes (and therefore more expensive), apart from this front door which seems a little more “cheap” than the rest. The design is sober and makes very good, even the ubiquitous plastic on the front.
The space available inside is really enormous, there will be no configuration that will not fit in the In Win 707 with its 36.5 cm for the graphics card (without removing the hard drive cage) and its 20.8 cm height for the cooler.
The strong point of the In Win 707, in addition to its internal space is undoubtedly its performance in terms of cooling, indeed it is ready to accommodate and cool the largest configurations without the slightest worry, and for good reason because the test version is a special “gaming” version.
On the other hand, the performances have a cost, the noise pollution is rather high, in particular at the level of the rear

14 cm fan which can only be powered by molex and is therefore not adjustable, it will always turn fully and the noise will cover all the rest of the configuration, even at rest unfortunately. If you are looking for a silent-oriented case, the In Win 707 (the black “gaming” version) is clearly not for you, the white “silent” version should undoubtedly be more suited to your needs, even if I couldn’t have it in my hands.

The In Win 707 can be found at a price of around 90 €, which in view of its performance is not that high, in fact the case is very spacious, very well cooled, of very good quality and is not unpleasant for the eyes, it will be an excellent partner in a gamer configuration as long as the noise nuisance does not matter.

Advantages

  • Performances
  • Design
  • Build quality
  • Interior space

Disadvantages

  • Noisy rear fan in 12V (see update at the beginning of the article)
  • Vibration hard drives

A big thank you to Katherine from In Win who allowed me to do this test.

Where to find the In Win 707?
