Indigenous peoples of the North will be supplied with domestic equipment, said FADN

MOSCOW, September 9 — PRIME. Indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East will be supplied with Russian and Chinese-made equipment to replace those used earlier, Igor Barinov, head of the Federal Agency for Nationalities Affairs (FADN) of Russia, said on the sidelines of the WEF.

“Problems arose in terms of the supply of imported products, primarily equipment. But somewhere we find internal opportunities, import substitution processes are underway, somewhere now other suppliers, primarily from China, are coming to the rescue. I think they will start working in the near future parallel import mechanisms, where there is no possibility to replace it within the country or from partner countries,” he told RIA Novosti.

According to Barinov, there will be no drop in the standard of living, the level of support for the indigenous peoples of the North from the state.
