Intel Arc A770 graphics card spotted on Geekbench, underperforms a desktop RTX 3060

The GPU that would be Intel’s top-of-the-range model with the ACM-G10 GPU could be launched with the name Arc A770. Said graphics card has been tested with an Intel i5-9600K processor, this is a CPU that Intel employees often use for internal testing. According to Geekbench software, it would be the full GPU with 512 Execution Units (Xe Vector Engines) and 32 Xe-Cores.

The allocated memory for the A770 is 12.7 GB, which probably means that it has about 16 GB, since the rest of the memory was probably allocated to other resources. Interestingly, it has a GPU speed of 2.4 GHz, this is only 200 MHz higher than the Arc 3 series mobile GPU.

From what we see the tests were somewhat routine, and the score it gave in the OpenCL benchmark is 85,585 points.

Surely you are wondering if this is a lot or a little, well that is what more or less yields a Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Mobileand unfortunately it is little, since its final performance is expected to be at least like that of a GeForce RTX 3070.

For now it is not clear if Intel is planning a model called A780, as has been rumored for a while. So far, Intel has only confirmed that it is developing a Limited Edition of a desktop Arc graphics card, but it was not confirmed if that model is called A770 or A780.

The A770 would have 4096 FP32 cores, 16GB of GDDR6 memory and a TDP of at least 175W. According to Intel, the Arc series for desktop will be available in the middle of the year.
