Intel Core i5-1135G7 vs AMD Ryzen 7 4700U: Test | Hashrate | Specs | CPU | Config: Comparison of two processors for laptops Intel Core i5-1135G7 vs AMD Ryzen 7 4700U

In connection with the appearance of new devices on the new generation Intel Core i5-1135G7 processors, we have prepared for you a performance test comparison between the new product and the Ryzen 7 4700U APU, which can be called one of the best energy-efficient processors from AMD.

AMD Ryzen 7 4700U

AMD Ryzen 7 4700U is a thin and light notebook processor based on Renoir architecture. The 4700U processor contains 8 cores with Zen 2 architecture. The base frequency is 2 GHz, and the maximum is 4 GHz, there is no SMT support, so it can process up to 8 threads. In addition to eight processor cores, the chip also includes Radeon RX Vega 7 graphics, which has 7 execution units and operates at a frequency of 1600 MHz. Dual channel RAM controller supports DDR4-3200 standard and economical LPDDR4-4266 memory. In addition, the processor has 8 MB of L3 cache. For this chip, the TDP is quoted at 15W, but can be adjusted between 10 and 25W by laptop manufacturers.

Intel Core i5-1135G7

Intel Core i5-1135G7 is an energy efficient quad-core mobile processor for ultrabooks, belongs to the Tiger Lake U family. This CPU combines 4 processing cores on the Willow Cove architecture and can process 8 data streams thanks to the support of Hyper-Threading technology. Each core is capable of operating at frequencies from 2.4 GHz to 4.2 GHz (with a load on one core). The maximum frequency with a load on all cores is 3.8 GHz. Unlike the older ones, the Core i7 has 8, not 12 MB of L3 cache. The Intel Core i5-1135G7 is manufactured using the improved 10nm SuperFin process, which Intel says is comparable to the 7nm TSMC process used for AMD Ryzen 4000 chips. The processor has an integrated Intel Xe graphics core based on the Gen 12 architecture. the integrated graphics are much higher than the Iris Plus G7 in Ice Lake processors. In the case of the i5-1135G7, Intel Xe has 80 cores (out of 96) and clocked at 400-1300 MHz.

Testing

CineBench R20 rendering

Comparison of processors with the cross-platform test suite CINEBENCH – This test is widely used to assess the performance of Intel and AMD processors. It is based on the popular CINEMA 4D animation software of the German company MAXON, which is actively used by studios around the world to create 3D content. The CPU test involves rendering a specific scene in multithreading mode (all processor cores are used). Rendering is the process of obtaining an image from a model using a computer program. Based on the result of the processor test, it is easy to calculate its speed – the faster the processor calculates the render, the more points it gets.

Witcher 3: Wild Hunt offers a non-linear, mature, action-packed story and unparalleled QTE-free combat system that combines a wide variety of RPG tactics with dynamic and spectacular combat worthy of the best action games. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was developed with the REDengine 3 game engine, which was aimed at current generation consoles and PCs. The first part of The Witcher was based on the Aurora Engine technology, a game engine developed by the Canadian company BioWare and first used in the computer role-playing game Neverwinter Nights, which was released on June 18, 2002. The technology uses HDR rendering with 64-bit depth, which produces the highest image quality with more realistic and faithful lighting without losing detail. Flexible rendering ready for deferred or advanced rendering with a wide range of cinematic post effects, including depth-of-field bokeh, color gradation, and light flares. High quality terrain allows for multiple layers of material to blend seamlessly and uses tasselation to maximize detail. The technology also includes seamless linking of animation and physics and a number of other features. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is by far the most technologically advanced and advanced open world RPG. The game pleases the eye with its wonderful world and atmosphere, forcing you to completely immerse yourself in the gameplay, forgetting about all the other problems happening around.
