The reference Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card has 2 power phases (1 phase for the memory chips and 1 for the GPU), while the Afox GeForce GTX 750 Ti 4 GB card has 3 (1 phase for the memory chips and 2 for the GPU).

Let’s take a closer look at the Afox video card without a cooling radiator below. yellow color marked one phase memory chips, and green – 2 phases of the power supply of the graphics core, and on the same side we have a blue PWM controller that controls all three phases.

Heating and cooling

At idle in 2D, the temperature was no higher than 26.9 ° C, the fans gave out 33% of their speed, the noise was 27.9 dBA, which is quiet.

In the maximum load mode in 3D, the temperature reached 69 ° C. At the same time, the fans spin up by 39%, the noise rises to 29.0 dBA, which is also quiet. Thus, the card produces almost the same noise level in all conditions.

Test results in 3D games

Testing was carried out only in Full HD resolution, there is no point in tormenting accelerators of this class with higher resolutions. What’s more, older graphics cards like the GeForce GTX 750 Ti can’t handle modern games at 1080p even at the lowest quality settings – sometimes you can only dream of 30 FPS. As a result, we tested the Afox GeForce GTX 750 Ti and several other video cards of the same level in Full HD at two or three quality settings, and modern video cards taken for comparison were tested only at maximum quality.

The Afox video card, as expected, only in a couple of games pulls out 30 FPS in Full HD resolution at the lowest graphics settings, which can be considered the lower limit of conditional playability. Alas, with such a performance, it is completely uninteresting, and its formal price-performance ratio is the lowest among the tested models. Sometimes it’s better for the dead to stay in the ground.


Due to the shortage of modern video cards of at least some high level, the resumption of production of inexpensive video cards has become very important.

However, the study showed that the Afox GeForce GTX 750 Ti (4 GB) will not allow you to play complex modern games even in Full HD resolution at the lowest graphics settings. It is difficult to think of a scenario for which such a card can be purchased today. Unless to replace a dead card in some very old computer, when there is absolutely no money, and a new system unit, albeit with good integrated graphics, will cost more than such a video card. In principle, this will allow you to somehow play old games with modest graphics and at a reduced resolution. Also, the card will allow you to run modern games to get acquainted with the atmosphere and decide on further modernization of the gaming power of the computer – when it becomes within your budget.
