Intel Core i7-10700F practically identical to Ryzen 7 3700X in the first benchmarks

Just a few hours ago we were talking about how the range of processors should be composed Intel Comet Lake-S of the F series, or "without" the integrated GPU (in the sense that there is but is not active), which appear the first benchmarks of one of the six models. Specifically we speak of Core i7-10700F, the intermediate model among those with the locked multiplier (and therefore not good for overclocking configurations). As you can see, the result on Cinebench R20 is 4,781 points in multi-core, 492 in single-core.

It is, in a nutshell, of scores just slightly higher (+ 2%) than those totaled by the AMD Ryzen 7 3700X. The Intel chip has a base frequency of 2.9 GHz, is octa-core and thanks to the 16 thread hyperthreading. AMD's chip is basically the same, even for TDP (65 W), only that it has a higher base frequency (3.6 GHz).

AMD clearly has a time advantage over the competitor: his Ryzen has been around for months. To understand if Intel's chip is a good investment, however, we will have to wait to know the official list price; It is worth noting that the AMD chip is now € 349 on Amazon Italy, with immediate availability.
