In the not too distant future, AMD and Nvidia will be joined by Intel in the market for graphics cards. The processor giant recently eased the lid and revealed that the company’s equivalent of the Radeon and Geforce brands will be Arc. At the same time, code names for four planned generations were published, the first of which is “Alchemist”.
In the run-up to the entry into the graphics card market, Intel is launching a competition, where participants get the chance to win their own Arc graphics card – according to Intel one of the first in the world. This is accompanied by game codes and so-called swagarticles, probably including clothing and onion stickers. The total value of the price package amounts to USD 1,000 or approximately SEK 8,700.
All that is required to participate is to click on Intel’s website and send a question to “DrLupo” which he will ask to graphics manager Raja Koduri. By all accounts, it is not the best questions that win, as the conditions (PDF) for the competition indicate that the winner is selected by random drawing.
It is not clear when the prize package with the Arc graphics card will be delivered to the winners. It is likely to take place only in connection with the launch, which will take place at the beginning of 2022.
