Intel, not just gaming: with Arc A30M a GPU for mobile workstations appears

Non solo GPU gaming, Intel is also thinking of graphics professionals: the company has been fine-tuning Intel Arc A30Ma GPU that appeared among the options of the future Dell Precision 5470. This is Dell’s new mobile workstation, created to offer high performance on the move.

In fact, Dell’s new solution can be configured with the new Alder Lake processors up to the Core i9-12900H from 14 core64 GB in RAM memory LPDDR5 and NVMe SSD up to 4TB. To support the new display from 14 inches with ratio of 16:10 (available with FHD + and QHD + resolutions), it seems you can choose between two dedicated options: the already known NVIDIA RTX A1000 4GB, and the aforementioned Intel ARC A30M, as reported by the “9550pro” leaker on Twitter. Unfortunately, however, at the moment there is no further information on the technical data sheet of the GPU, although it is assumed that it has all the credentials to compete with the NVIDIA proposal.

Another well-known leaker, @momomo_us, has traced in the past few hours a diagram according to which the Alchemist architecture of the new Arc GPUs is identified within Intel as “Gen 12.7“, confirming old rumors. On March 30 Intel announced that it will unveil the first solution based on this project, Arc A370M, a consumer mobile GPU that is expected to guarantee performance around 2 times higher compared to the Iris Xe with with 96 EU. The A30M project is expected to originate from the same GPU behind the A370M. It is currently unknown whether Intel will decide to announce the new workstation solutions alongside the consumer offerings.
