Intel’s future integrated graphics chips are listed in the driver – 17 models with Gen11

In 2020, Intel will enter the market for dedicated graphics cards through the Xe family, which is based on the new architecture Arctic Sounds. However, Intel is not new when it comes to graphics chips, but integrated ones have long been used for the majority of processors for consumers.

The architecture behind the integrated circuits is called “Gen” followed by a number, and since the launch of Skylake this has been 9. At the end of 2018, Intel announced the next generation of processors in the “Ice Lake” family will come together with updated Gen11, which will offer markedly improved performance. Now 17 Gen11-based graphics circuits can be found on the web.

The models can be seen in a file from the latest driver for Intel graphics parts, which has been completely redesigned to be used for the Xe series in the future. Along with the product names, information on the number of calculation units can be seen, where the Iris Plus Graphics 950 with 64 calculation units is expected to be the flagship circuit.

The Iris Plus Graphics 940 and 930 also come with 64 calculation units, but probably with screwed-down clock frequencies. The former also comes in a version with 48 calculation units, while the Iris Plus Graphics 930 takes the step down to 32 such, just like the 920 model.

In addition, there are circuits with the prefix UHD Graphics, where 920 and 910 are variants that also have 32 calculation units. The UHD Graphics family is also expanded with six variants marked “LP” to mark low power consumption, which are equipped with up to 48 computing units.

Finally, the list contains four models for the upcoming system circuits, codenamed “Lakefield”, which are compact and energy-efficient processors designed to address the fight against ARM. When it comes to graphics circuits, however, neither the name nor the number of computing units are mentioned.
