The prediction was made by Damian Thong, who is an analyst at Macquarie Capital Securities. This person predicted the arrival of the PS4 Pro and Slim well, so he can be trusted to some extent. However, it should be noted that Sony could run into something other than the PS5. Xbox releases Scorpio, maybe Sony will name its new gaming machine differently?
The company itself does not reveal anything about the future. It is enjoying the huge success of the PS4 and hopes to sell another 15 million units in the next year.
