It is premature to talk about the restart of ZNPP, Rosenergoatom says
MOSCOW, 11 Oct — PRIME. To restart the power units of the Zaporizhzhya NPP, a guaranteed uninterrupted power supply is needed, it is premature to talk about it. Renat Karchaa, adviser to the general director of the Rosenergoatom concern, stated this.
In Zaporizhzhia region called to connect ZNPP to the Russian energy system
“For the time being, unfortunately, it is premature to talk about this (about restarting power units). Because in order to disperse the units and start them, you need a guaranteed uninterrupted power supply. The entire procedure for starting and subsequently maintaining reactors in working order is all connected with electricity” , he said on the air of Russia 24.
According to Karchaa, it is not possible to talk about a stable power supply, since the Ukrainian side continues shelling the territory of the facility.
